Quick Sip #3

Hey guys!

Still buried below hectometers of paper for my finals so I still don’t have the time to give you a proper post. But anyway here are some excellent tunes to relieve your unquenchable thirst for good music for a few days (hours?………..minutes?!!!).

Really looking forward to be able to post some more gems with a little more explanation but bear with me friends…..soon, soon!

1. [Garage/2-Step] Bones & Money – Close (Grobbie Remix)

Some exquisite garage vibes from this one….and free with that, what more can you ask for?

Free download.

2. [UK House] Disclosure – When a Fire Starts to Burn (Origins Re-Sound)

Lovely remix of a tune released on Disclosure‘s first album Settle by UK Duo Origins Sound.

3. [Deep House] Detroit Swindle – The Break Up

Glossy pads, deep vocals and beautiful production all around. It’s a preview, if you like it support the artist and buy this beauty.

4. [Unicorn making babies] 123Mrk – Can’t Believe

Can’t believe how good this is. Free to download on xlr8r.

5. [RnB] Dornik – Something about you

And now for something completely different: great voice; great production; so lush and oh so sexy……Watch for this guy!

6. [Blip-blop] Lone – Begin To Begin

Blown away by this song.

7. [Electronica/Vocals] Maribou State – Tongue feat. Holly Walker

I told you Maribou State never, ever disappoint. They’ve outdone themselves with this incredibly gorgeous song (and gorgeous is such an euphemism).

8. [Orchestral/Crunkwave] Disclosure – You & Me (Flume Remix)

Now I know what “Orchestral/Crunkwave” means….and I want more of it!

9. [Dark RnB/Experimental Hip-Hop] JMSN – Love & Pain (Ta-Ku Remix)

Dark and twisted.

10. [Nu Disco] Jutty Ranx – I See You (Oliver Nelson Remix)

Nu Disco at its absolute best.

iSH – Cameras

iSH is a talented rapper from Canada, Toronto, not very famous yet but who should be! The instrumental part of the song sounds as quick and smooth as his flow. Hearing that track makes you feel like running after mice scampering on a piano. Just press play and try to catch them!

Quick Sip #2

Hey guys!

Sorry for the lack of posts these days; with finals approaching we don’t have much time to provide you with ear candies. But worry not, everything will soon be back to normal and you’ll be able to enjoy your daily dose of sonic goodness again.

To relieve your cravings here’s a little selection of excellent tunes:

1. [House/Vocals] Joe Goddard feat. Mara Carlyle – She Burns

What a beauty.

2. [House] Justin Timberlake – Like I Love You (Motez Edit)

You never have enough of Justin Timberlake.

Free download by liking Motez’s Facebook Page.

3. [House] MYNC feat. Neil Ormandy – Searching (Benson and Motez Remix)

An absolute by banger by the same guy who did the JT edit.

4. [House] Orange Soda – Kel loves Whitney Houston

A great tribute in the form of a groovy house tune.

5. [UK House] Bipolar Suns – Rivers (Toyboy & Robin Remix)

Bouncy, joyful, groovy.

6. [Future Bass] Cassie – All My Love (Kingdom Edit)

A dark and deep edit by the guy who gave us the blissful Bank Head.

7. [Trap-ish] Disclosure – You & Me feat. Eliza Dolittle (Baauer Remix)

Baauer (yes that’s the same who released the Harlem Shake) remixed the incredible garage original by Disclosure .

8. [Disco] Social Disco Club – Good Times (Chic Cover)

This. Is. Genius

Free Download.

9. [Disco] Moon Boots – Love Strong

To finish with some extremely well produced funk.

Mayer Hawthorne – Her Favorite Song

Her Favorite Song is the first single to be featured on Mayer Hawthorne forthcoming album Where Does This Door Go. If this doesn’t convince you to throw money at the Los Angeles producer, songwriter, singer, [insert every single music-related job title here] on July the 16th, I don’t know what will.

The backing vocals are by British songstress Jessie Ware (another good reason to put this funkalicious beauty of a song on replay).

Ice Cool Bonus:

Mayer Hawthorne – Designer Drug

Free download
